Marines with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment tape two M112 composition C-4 demolition blocks to a 43-lb. cratering charge at a demolition range during a deployment for training exercise at Fort Hill, Va., Dec. 2, 2017. The range consisted of the Marines preparing and detonating field expedient Bangalore torpedoes, cratering and shaped charges. The Marines are conducting the DFT to maintain proficiency at the squad, platoon, company, and battalion-level of warfighting in preparation for an upcoming deployment to Japan.
