Members of the US air force 228th aviation regiment prepare to take off on a Black Hawk UH-60L helicopter United States Southern Command Joint Task Force-Bravo performed conjoined operations in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras where it provided medical aid to local hospitals and communities. In the town of La Union some 60 US military members were deployed to aid a hospital and small islands that lacked medical attention. During hurricane ETA and IOTA Joint Task Force-BRAVO rescued 810 civilians, and delivered 349,500 pounds of aid.
