Abandoned sculptural group known as the Jacob's Well (Jákobova studna) in the area of the open air sculptural gallery known as the Braunův Betlém (Braun's Bethlehem) in the forest near the village of Žireč in East Bohemia, Czech Republic. The well was carved by famous Austrian-born sculptor Matthias Bernhard Braun (Matyáš Bernard Braun) from 1726 to 1729 among other statues and relieves directly in sandstone rocks in the New Forest near the Kuks Hospital (Nový les u Kuksu). The Braunův Betlém is considered to be one of the masterpieces of Bohemian Baroque sculpture.
