Gentlemen : We respectfully submit herewith the report of tbe opera-tions of this Department for the year ending December 31,H)i 1. The Commissioners for ()pening Streets, during- the pastyear, made their final returns on twelve streets having a totallength of 16,975 feet, and at a cost of $205, The most important of these is Thirty-third street, openedfrom the I lillen road to Charles street. This street opens upan enormous territory for development. It is laid out 120 feetwide, and is over 8,000 feet in length. It will have plantingspaces provided, and will be built partly by the Park street is one of the connecting links in the greatpark scheme, giving a fine boulevard between Clifton
