This was taken while cycling in Karijini National Park in the Pilbara, Western Australia. The colors in this part of the world are sensational. The red of the earth with the yellow and green of the spinifex and the trees - when there are some - with the intense blue of the sky is incredible. Temperatures have been known to reach the low 50 degrees, it's dry and shade can be rare. Often, the sky is couldless. But on that day, there was one.
