Boies); breeds; nests in June, on the ground, in marshes, on a simple platform of reeds and sedges, often half way up on dead flags, usually over the water, "occasionally in a bush" (Prof. J. W. Simmonsj; eggs three to six. white with bluish tinge; " nests in Oakland county "" (W. C. Brownell. in O. and O., Vol. XVI, p. .32); bird stupid and so, easily caught.
