Blind Harry professes, however, to translate from aLatin account, written by Wallaces friend and chaplain,John Blair. Wallace, according to this story, was carefully educatedby his uncle, a wealthy churchman, at Dunipace, in Stirling-shire, and was afterwards sent to the Grammar-school ofDundee.
