The Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Xie Hangsheng is reading his poem about the return of the Little Mermaid to Copenhagen.


The Little Mermaid has returned safely to her usual spot at the waterfront in the port of Copenhagen after her successful journey to the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China. After a welcome ceremony with speeches of the Danish Minister for Economic and Business Affairs. Brian Mikkelsen, the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, and the Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Mr. Xie Hangsheng, the Little Mermaid was lifted back to her usual rock at the waterfront in the port of Copenhagen. The Little Mermaid was the main attraction of the Danish Pavillion at the Expo 2010 attracting more than 5,5 million visitors and winning a bronze award for its cutting edge architecture. The Little Mermaid left Shanghai immediately after the EXPO finished and was flown safely back to Copenhagen after having spent nearly eight months in Shanghai.
