Ground Position Signal number RD 75 showing two red LED lights from the black box stood on a pillar bolted to a concrete base.

Ground Position Signal () number RD 75 in a depot for stopping trains as it is displaying two red LED aspects forbidding any movement beyond this signal. All of these signals are positioned at certain points throughout the depot to keep trains on certain lines and allow movements of others with the knowledge that there will be no conflicting movements carried out. When a train is allowed to proceed beyond this signal it will display a white LED light in the lower right hand light (red changes to white) and the upper left (unlit at present) LED light. The plate below the signal head denotes its position within the depot for identification with the depot controller who regulates all movements within his depot. The arrow on the number plate indicates the road (line) to which the signal refers.
