Plasticus the Whale from Sky Ocean Rescue, made of a quarter of a ton of plastic waste, the amount dumped in the ocean every second - a total of 8 million tons a year, was outside Parliament today in its campaign to stop the damage to the world's oceans caused by single use plastic. Last August it toured a dozen locations in England, Wales and Scotland to highlight the problem. Sky Ocean Rescue is an initiative of Sky UK, part-owned by Rupert Murdoch.
