Hand painted wall portrait of Saddam Hussein in the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniya a year after gassing the Kurds at Halabja, showing himself to be a fond leader through proximity with a Kurdish boy. The ugly truth was altogether more menacing. This picture therefore has a more menacing quality than the surface might suggest.
