About the City's Urban Rangers There are 3 Urban Rangers, funded by the City of Lincoln Council, who operate within the city of Lincoln boundary across nearly 90 sites. They patrol all council owned: open spaces, recreational grounds, parks, play areas, cemeteries, old burial grounds, If required, the Rangers are empowered to enforce the laws and byelaw's governing the various sites. All rangers are issued with dual sport motorcycles capable of covering the entire city's road and off road terrain, including restricted access sites. The Urban Rangers all wear high visibility clothing in addition to the bikes being stickered with the City of Lincoln Council crest and public information. This helps to identify and advertise a safe point of contact to all. All rangers are first aid qualified in a number of accident scenarios and carry provisions for light trauma, acting as an intermediary to the emergency services if required. Not operated by uk police officers.
