Clemens, Man-ager of the Water Sales Department andOffice Manager. Mr. Clemens passed away in this city onNovember 19, 1927. His illness had beenprotracted; toward the end the outcome wasknown to be inevitable; but his deathbrought a shock to the associates who fornearly ten years had been used to seeing himthe picture of health and vigorous was difficult to apprehend that so vital apersonality had gone. Before joining Spring Valley Water Com-pany, Mr. Clemens had earned a splendidexecutive reputation under William Mulhol- land during the construction of the Los An-geles-Owens River Aqueduct.
