New Zealand (Nov. 20, 2016) Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) transits the bay to the city with Her Majesty’s New Zealand, Australian and Canadian Ships. Sampson, at the request of the government of New Zealand, remained off the coast of New Zealand’s South Island to offer assistance to those affected by the recent earthquake.
