Both President Pring and Secretary Schafif expect a largo attendance. Secretary Joseph Deutschmann, of the St. Louis County Growers' Association, says that, owing to bad roads on the way to the Eleven Mile House, the asso- ciation has held no meeting for the last three months. A meeting will be held soon, however. R. E. Blackshaw, of the Ove Gnatt Co., La Porte, Ind., was at the Hotel Statler last week, where he displayed a splendid line of samples. Mr. Black- shaw has been ill with influenza, but he is now fully recovered. In bowling, February 22, the fast-com- ing Rose team, under F. Plotz, won the odd game from the second-place Orchids, and the leading Sweet Pea team won the odd game from the Violets. The Daisies surprised A. Bourdet's Carnation team by winning two of the three games. J. B. John Steidle, of Clayton, Mo., has placed an order with the Lord & Burn- ham Co., through its Chicago office, for an iron-frame greenhouse, 30x120. A.
