The whole plant at times is one mass of bloom: salmon, shaded with rose. Mignonette—Flowers small, about an inch in diameter, color light rose, very fine, flowers very freely. AMARYLLIS TREATEA. The elegant fairy lily that everybody should have, stems about a foot high, flowers large, pure white and sweet scented: bulbs do not grow very large: one of the most desirable of the Amaryllis family. It is sa easily grown that no one need fail, and so cheap that it is within the reach of all: is reckoned hardy South of Washington. In the Northern States bulbs should be lifted in October and stored in the cellar over Win- ter, or they make an elegant pot plant for window dec- oration. Plant three or four bulbs in a six inch pot and place in cellar for two or three Aveeks, then bring to the light and heat.
