Saint Trophime (St. Trophimus) church (formerly cathedral). Arles. Bouches du Rhone departament, Provence. France

Main Door. Saint Trophime (St. Trophimus) church (formerly cathedral). Built between 12th and 14th centuries with elements of romanesque and gothic architecture. The romanesque elements (Main Door and half Cloister) are an exceptional example of Provençal romanesque art, particularly the representation of Last Judgement on its portal, considered one of the finest examples of romanesque sculpture as are the columns in the cloister. Arles (Roman and Romanesque Monuments added to the Unesco's World Heritage List in 1981). Bouches du Rhone departament, Provence. France. Date picture: june 2006
