5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 13, 2017) – Marines with Company A., 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Ground Combat Element, adjust their seatbelts before conducting vehicle rollover egress training. The 15th MEU and America Amphibious Ready Group’s forward deployed nature ensures that when called upon they are postured and prepared to respond to any crisis in the region whether at sea, from the sea or ashore. The 15th MEU is embarked on the America ARG and is deployed to maintain regional security in the 5th Fleet area of operations. (
