The larger nodules are of a pale or dark yellowish color, while the smaller ones vary in shade from this to the neutral gray of the normal serous membrane. To the touch they give the sensa- tion of small, oval, solid bodies in the wall of the in- testine. The mucous surface presents similar eleva- tions and attached to this over the elevations a number of tapeworms are seen. In the niv^re advanced cases a variable number of small ulcerated depressions, 1-25 inch in diameter or less, are seen over the larger nodules caused by sloughino^of the mucous Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Salmon, D.
