'Chocolate Soldier' Common garden peony, Luktpion (Paeonia officinalis x lactiflora)


An ornamental garden plant native to central and eastern Asia, with several hundred cultivars. ‘Chocolate Soldier’ is an Officinalis hybrid, by Auten, E. Jr. (1939). The flowers are black red in Japanese form, with red stamens and yellow staminodes.
