One of a collection of 13 personalised lithographs with a Christmas theme commissioned by Thomas J. Barratt, chairman of the soap manufacturer A. & F. Pears, from leading Victorian artists and illustrators. They were sent from his Hampstead residence Bell-Moor and are inscribed in his hand. Note that somewhere in each illustration is his monogram TJB.
