Sweet peas, narcissi and mignonette cleaned up and were, in fact, in demand. Other offerings include carnations, Easter lilies, calla lilies, lily of the valley, or- chids, violets, both double and single, and stevias. The last named has been selling well up to this time. Club Meeting. On Monday, November 11, the Flo- rists' Club held its regular meeting at the club rooms. A. C. Heckman, Jr., Ray Murphy and Chas. H, Hoffmeister were appointed by President Gus Adrian to arrange for a banquet on the night of December 9, when Richard Vincent, Jr., president of the S. A. F., will be with us to give us an illustrated talk on the international flower show. The committee has selected the Burnet House as the place for the affair, and the time will be 8 p. m. After the regular meeting was over, the members enjoyed a Dutch lunch and smoker. Frank Volz entertained with character and popular songs. The next regular meeting will be De- cember 2. On that night, too, there will be refreshments and a smoker. Various Notes. J. M. McCullough's Sons Co. has been receiving some choice violets from Mount Holly. L. H. Kyrk, on Third street, was the first to offer pansies this fall. They cleaned up nicely. C. E. Critchell was the first whole- saler to offer Paper "Whites this month.
