Medical alchemist. 18th-century artwork of an alchemist examining a flask containing the urine of the woman next to him. Titled 'Studying the Woman's Results', this artwork likely depicts an alchemist being asked to diagnose whether the woman is pregnant or not. This etching, dated 1770, is by the German artist Balthasar Anton Dunker (1746-1807), after an earlier artwork by 17th-century Dutch painter Gerard Dou.
