the Bookbarn was a large second hand book store in Bristol, England. The business closed but an enormous number of books were left in the warehouse. the owners of the warehouse decided to let the public in to take away any books that they wanted. a large crowd soon gathered to tak advantage of the free books. Many were taken for private use but some charites took advantage to gather some extra stock for fund raising.
