Basarab bridge in the night with cars on the bridge
Basarab bridge in the night with traffic, Bucharest, Romania. The 2 km long bridge, which has four road lanes and two tram lines, was built by a joint venture comprising the Italian construction company Astaldi and Spanish FCC Construccion at a cost of EUR 200 million. According to the city authorities, it has a 44 m opening over Basarab railway station. The completed project was designed to cope with daily traffic of over 80,000 vehicles.
