'The Triumph of David', c1759, (1928). Red and white chalk on paper. Sketch for one of the frescoes in S Maria della Purità in Udine, Italy, executed in 1759. At one time known to have been in the collection of the Kupferstichkabinett, Stuttgart, Germany. Italian Venetian painter and printmaker Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo (1727-1804) was the son of artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, and elder brother of Lorenzo Baldissera Tiepolo.
