Four of the members of the World Zionist Delegation, in 1921. They are (left to right): Mosessohn, Einstein, Weizmann and Ussischkin. Einstein, in additon to being one of the greatest theoretical physicists of history, was a passionate Zionist. Chaim Weizmann eventually became the first President of Israel in 1949. When Weizmann died in 1952, Einstein was offered the presidency, but declined.
