A staff member views (C) "Hirsch (Stag)", 1958/1982, a teak wood and wooden ironing board that belonged to the artist's mother, which is amidst 38 clay sculptures called "Urtiere (Primordial Animals)", 1958/1982, at the preview of "Joseph Beuys: Utopia at the Stag Monuments", at the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in Dover Street. The retrospective is the most important UK exhibition of Beuys' work in over a decade, presenting major sculptures and rarely seen works from 1947 to 1985, and runs from 18 April to 16 June.
