Istanbul, TURKEY -- A sit-in by journalists on Istiklal Street, protesting the media censorship, firings, and pressure on free reportage during Gezi Park protests in Istanbul on July 12, 2013. The protest was supposed to be a march down Istiklal Street towards Taksim, however the TOMAs (armored riot vehicles with water cannons) and riot police blocked the demonstrators route, upon which the demonstration continued as a sit-in.
