A Villanovan bronze belt, early 8th century An elliptical bronze belt plate with hooks and a pierced sleeve for attaching the leather. Geometric border decoration with double rows of bosses. Finely incised concentric lines around larger bosses between single and double meander bands, which are filled with engraved hatchwork. Length 43 cm. Green to blue-green patina.
