Chinese schisandra (Schisandra chinensis) fruiting. Also known as wu-wei-zi in Chinese, or five flavour berry. This woody vine is used in traditional medicine as a remedy for irritable bowel syndrome and other maladies. It is dioecious, which means that each plant is either male or female.
