The five subjects represented, one below another, in the several compartments on the left-hand side of the top to bottom, are named as follows: Hirondelles, or swallow pigeons (outside the rustic border of the engraving); pouting pigeons; Houdan fowls, exhibited by M. Perré, for which he obtained a prix d'honneur; Golden Polish, by M. Felix Durand, who gained the same distinction; and Bruge, the pair which won the first prize, belonging also to M. Felix Durand. On the right, the birds there represented in the different compartments, beginning at the top, are the tumbler pigeons of M. Bocquet, which got a prix d'honneur; his runts, or pigeons Romains, which took the first prize; the Crèvecoeur pair of M. Simier, prix d'honneur; the Brahmapootras of M.
