CERNAVODA, Romania – Servicemembers pose with members of the local community during the Cernavoda City Days festival Aug. 20. Servicemembers from Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania attended the festival and participated in a strongman contest with Romanian bodybuilders as part of on-going efforts to strengthen ties between the base and the local community. American military personnel are in Romania as a part of Atlantic Resolve, a led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates commitment to the collective security of NATO and enduring peace and stability in the region.
