No, I should say that the fundamental reason thatsuddenly prompted the Brigadier to make so vital a deci-sion for us was rather her growing obsession that she neverwould be able to afford, in or out of my means, a city kitchenlarge enough to hold the steadily increasing collection ofhousehold electrical appliances which the Brigadier is for-ever spying in the advertising columns of the magazines, andas steadily buying.
