Democratic Governor Robert Lowry served the State of Mississippi from 1882 - 1890. During the Civil War Lowry was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the sixth Mississippi Infantry, CSA. Governor Lowry, is interred in the old Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Mississippi.
