Horse dung has a sour odor in digestive disorders when con- centrated food was given in abundance. The feces of her- bivora stink or have a foul odor when putrefactive processes go on in the diseased digestive tract. If albuminous exudates (blood) are present under these conditions the odor is car- rion-like (hemorrhagic enteritis, distemper of dogs)..
