Only 500 Jensen CV8’s were ever built 490 in RHD format but only 69 MKI examples were ever built. The MKI CV8 is unbelievably rare and considering only 99 RHD Gordon Keeble cars were ever built, it puts this car into perspective. The CV8 model has been strongly appreciating and in Europe we have seen examples offered over the £100,000 mark already. The CV8 was a super car of its day, powered by a 305 bhp Chrysler 361ci V8 at first, and later by the 330 bhp 383 engine, it was one of the most wonderful cars of its era with true power, impressive handling, comfort, luxury and of course safety. This is car to drive, and its performance and general feel will totally surprise anyone with little experience of the model. It feels many years ahead of its time, and when 1950’s and 1960’s two door coupe’s with performance nowhere near the CV8 can command over £250,000, it really makes these cars look incredibly good value with lots of opportunity to further rise in value.
