Copper sulphate formation. Beaker being used to add sulphuric acid to copper (II) oxide (black) at the bottom of a test tube. This reaction will form copper (II) sulphate (blue) and water. The copper (II) oxide is an insoluble solid (black), while the copper (II) sulphate is soluble in water. A laboratory bottle of sulphuric acid is in the background.
