A patient with congenital lymphoedema. The patient is raising his left leg, which has more abnormal swelling than seen in his right leg. The patient’s left lower arm and hand also seems to be swollen. Aside from this, the patient appears to be in good health and there doesn’t appear to be any facial oedema. In congenital lymphoedema, oedema in the leg does not normally extend beyond the level of the knee. A patient with lymphoedema may complain of heaviness and tightness of the skin in affected limbs. They may also find movement has become restricted to some extent, and may have noticed clothing and shoes seem tighter than usual. (MODEL RELEASED)
