. Geological magazine. belief, on thinking the matter over, is thatthe right locality is the Devizes Eoad, as they were originallymarked. The locality referred to is Old Camp Down lime-pit,three miles of Salisbury on the Devizes Eoad. This pit ischaracterized by an abundance of Micraster coranguinum and Echino-conus conicus; but Terehratula semtglobosa, Sow., usually present inthis zone, does not occur, and the only Terebratulae we have foundthere are the two specimens figured. As the pit is seldom workedand we have no prospect of obtaining others, it has seemed best todescribe them. E. W

Davidson, who examined them, wrote to me, 28th —These specimens are peculiar and puzzle me. They are notT. carnea, nor T. semiglobosa, and I am uncertain as to their properidentification. They approach most in shape to some specimens ofTer. semiglobosa, but I would not like to refer them to that almost look to me a new species. 1 1« 2 2a. Terebratula obesa, Sowerby, var. cuneata.
