These trees are in the pristine Waitakere Forest in the Waitakere Range. The water is part of the Manukan Harbour. This forest is of great scientific interest and has been closed to the public at times to stop the spread of Kauri Dieback Disease. The area is near West Auckland, New Zealand.
The famous Piha Beach is on the coast nearby and faces onto the Tasman Sea.
