Fruit medium, roundish obovate, greenish yellow, gray specks, faint red in sun; stem rather long ; calyx large, open; flesh yel- lowish white, buttery, sugary, juicy, ' good.' February. Wharton's Early. Origin unknown. This variety we found growing in the grounds of Prof. Kirtland, who received grafts from the south centre of Ohio, under this name.
