Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmon (left) shaking hands with a member of the public in front of the statue to Robert the Bruce during events at Bannockburn Live, at Bannockburn, Stirlingshire. The re-enactment marked the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, where the Scots army under Robert the Bruce defeated the English army of Edward II. The event was part of Scotland's Year of Homecoming celebrations and was attended by a sell-out 10,000 crowd.
