The church organizations of MinneapoHs doubtless contribute more money to works of benevolencein proportion to the membership than those of any other city west of New York. As an index to theamount contributed, the Plymouth Congregational may be cited. The philanthropic work of the churchis very extensive. The Bethel day nursery, where mothers leave their children while they go out towork, is an institution of the church. The church supports two kindergarten schools, with two teachersand loo pupils, at a cost of $2,500.
