The 'Hajrha Bhasan' ritual is part of the rural Bengal Gajan festival where at midnight (1:27 AM) a devoted monk would try to escape by jumping to the Jalangi river without safety according to the ritual and the rest of the monks would catch him and take him along the banks of the river and run straight to his destination in the split second.
