Southend on Sea, Essex, UK. 18th Sep, 2021. Type 23 frigate HMS Argyll has navigated the River Thames to head out to the North Sea following display at the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) event at ExCel London. The ship was moored in the Royal Victoria Dock alongside more modern equipment. The frigate is the oldest Type 23 currently serving the Royal Navy and is due for retirement in 2023, having been launched in 1989
