Blue sky view, through a tree window, of the River Peulla and marshland reeds, eastern end Lake Todos Los Santos, Peulla, Chile
Peulla is the port at the eastern end of Lake Todos los Santos, on the first leg of the Andean Lakes Route from Puerto Varas, Chile, to Bariloche, Argentina. The village and its hotels are surrounded by blue and emerald green lake and river waters. Tourists can break their journey there, before continuing over the Perez Rosales Andean Pass to Puerto Frias and the lake journey to Bariloche. The River Peulla, and its tributary, Rio Negro, flowing into Lake Todos los Santos, have built up an infill of marshy sediment, seen here through a tree window, a mile or so east of Peulla.
