Stanley Green, the protein man carrying his placard in Oxford Street, London in the early 1980's
Stanley Green, known as the Protein Man, became a well-known figure in London. For 25 years Stanley patrolled Oxford Street carrying a placard arguing that protein made people lustful and aggressive. When he died at the age of 78, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Times newspapers published his obituary, and his pamphlets, placards and letters were passed to the Museum of London.
