DEER WHICH ARE THE SYMBOL OF SCHELL'S BEER ARE SEEN IN A DEER PARK ADJACENT TO THE BREWERY, GERMANS LIKE THEIR BEER AND THEIR DESCENDANTS IN THIS TOWN ARE NO EXCEPTION. NEW ULM ONCE SUPPORTED TWO BREWERIES, BUT ONLY THE OLDEST HAS SURVIVED. THE BEER HAS A DISTINCTIVE FLAVOR THAT IS PREFERRED BY FARMERS AND RESIDENTS OF THIS COUNTY SEAT TRADING CENTER OF 13,000 IN A FARMING AREA OF SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA FOUNDED IN 1854 BY GERMAN IMMIGRANTS
