Iridescent clouds formed by diffraction of sunlight by water droplets in the cloud. This is a sort of broken or diffuse corona. Iridescence occurs when the Sun is not directly behind the cloud, and when the cloud is relatively thin and newly formed. This rare atmospheric phenomenon mostly occurs over mountains during winter. Photographed in Finland.
